    hey ya'll, two questions.... here they are. these things are very, very, small and they move. seem to mostly be on rock they look like little clear ants just a lot smaller. here's a few pics let me know what ya think tia!

    second question.....could my new lights have made algae explode in my tank while I was gone? almost everything half way down to bottom is bright green!

    The bugs are probably just some type of amphipod or copepod but without a clearer picture, I can't be positive. Can't help you with the lights either because I don't know nuthin about your lighting :(

    Yeah, I figured they were just too small. I'm going to move the rock, they are on, closer to the glass tomorrow and see if maybe I can catch them moving around. They walk like ants, kinda weird looking, but don't seem to be bothering anything. A few of them will gather and looks like a huddle, then they are off running around....

    They are isopods. You probally got them from me. My coral tanks are fishless, so their population has exploded.

    there good det eaters, and the lights probably do that to the tank regularly but you probably clean the glass alot to.

    Hey! Some of these tiny buggers live in the conch of one of my crabs. They seem to be harmless.

    The light looks a bit cool to me looks like a yellow /sun light ? What K bulbs and brand bulbs are you using ? But the water looks yellow to me maybe it is the lamps or DOC's ?
