Well I'm having a tough time figuring out which is the best salt out there; some say its this, while others say its that, so I'm honestly not sure. What's the best salt out there right now?

I voted RC's. It's the only salt I've ever used so I can't really say it is the BEST salt out there. I might give the Red Sea coral pro salt a try though.

IMHO the BEST salt is whatever works for you and your tankmates.

For a reef tank I would suggest the RC's or the RS Coral pro. They both have good numbers on the big 3 when mixed with RO/DI. With lower levels in other salts you will most likely find yourself dosing to get the levels where you want them.

There's a pole on this already XD. Check it out. I use ESV for the record and have used RC's before. ESV mixes faster, clearer and has better readings on KH,Ca,Mg @ the same salinity than RC IME.

No it's not your line...it's your name now. That's what I'm calling you from now on hahaha. ESV is a company based in Jersey I think-too late to make sure. They make products for salt/reef tanks. Probably best known for their 2 part additives, though I also use their salt and Kalkwasser. I like to stick to one brand and not mix and match, but that's just me.
