    diatom algea is almost off of my LR. ( STill on the LS ). I am noticing some green algea coming in now. Is this nromal for a new tank that is cycling? Thanks

    yup thats all part of the cycle. put a clean up crew in if you havent already done so. How long has the tank been running for? how are your params. ph,sg,ammonia ect?

    About 3 weeks now. And i just looked into the tank and i noticed on only one of my LIve Rocks there are little red dots. not alot but neough to nitice and they are pretty deep in red color. Any ideas.

    hard to say without seeing but i have some red in mine to. could be red slime or red Coraline. i would just continue to watch it. I had fun watching my tank cycle, you get to see lots of changes. do you have any snails or hermits in there yet?

    Majority of my tank is snails. like 10 margaritas and 1 mex. turbo and 2 nassarius snails to clean up un eaten food.

    it sounds like everything is normal typical cycle, did your ammonia start to spike yet?

    ammonia seems to be at o.25 lime green color.

    Yeah you are doing fine. My tanks did the same when cycling. I had diatoms right at the end of the cycle. Clean up crew was added then and it went away after a few weeks. I waited a total of 8 weeks for my last tank to cycle. Never got green algae, but diatoms and red slime for sure
