    are the tubes fuzzy esp at the end? I was wondering if it is not pineapple sponges? If it is then nothing to worry about helpful filter feeders, but might be a sign that you are having a silicate problem in your tank?

    I'm hoping sponge as I just found several somethings attached to my LR that look eerily similar. Soft to the touch and they don't move.

    Could they be tunicates?

    It's like you can see their digestive tracts.

    Turnicates is a very interresting guess, I will take better pics and look at them more closely tonight.

    Thanks for all the help! If they are some kind of sponge is it okay in the chaeto?

    they look kind of like the sponge i get on some of my rocks, its like a milky translucent substance right?
