Been building a pod farm the past few months and noticed a new creature this evening.

They look like micro jellyfish (or a racquetball Birdy that we used to smack around in gym), and moves in quick little bursts. OOO and there's thousands of them!

    Any help is appreciated.

Those would be jellyfish. Jellies, like most everything else, are very tiny as young juveniles.

So how did you end up with jelly fish in your fuge? Wonder how big they will get to be. I think it's awesome as long as they don't sting and get too big.

I get them in my display from time to time. They attach to my glass.

Resrach the life of a jellyfish, they are very, very closely related to coral and propogate similarly.

Medusa stage of hydroids.... not considered jellyfish ;) Hydroids are in the Hydrozoa class and jellyfish are in the Scyphozoa class.

Ok so they're not in my fudge, just the 5g bucket I was building up a healthy pod population.

Are these things going to harm anything in my display if I introduce them with the pods? Or should I just start over? From what I've read they eat pods anyway so I may be out of luck with my plans anyway...
