    That range is fine. Try to stick closer to 1.025 though as that leaves with a little room for error either way.

    I was just going down to the LFS a few times a week to get my salinity checked. Any suggestions as to which brand to buy? I see a lot of cheap ones on ebay, but I don't really trust them.

    nice find, trates are indeed a little high but thats more or less what i have in my tank and my mathei doesn't seem to suffer adversely from it. +1 regarding salinity and glad to hear you got it back up to 25. personally i have an H2Ocean from aquarium solution, the eye piece broke quite soon but its been precisely measuring my water for the past two or three years otherwise.
