good at exporting nitrates and phosphates since it's a fast grower. i had some starting off but i ended up getting rid of all but a small bit. IMO the only bad part about that type of macro algae is that it attaches to the rocks and sand and glass with it's roots kind of like a vine, and this is annoying to remove and can get in crevices. not a big deal really tbh lol

great at removing nitrates/phosphates but i replaced it with chaeto after i became more experienced at reef keeping.

keep it for now, but trim it here and there every so often, but not too much cuz it wont be happy with too many trimmings! fish will not eat it however its too calcareous IME

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I would remove it, it just not worth it. One day you will decide you do not want macro algae in the display, but you will pay for months on end by trying to remove every tendril that decides to sprout from the rock. If your plan is to have a simple softy tank or macro tank than that is different, if you want stony corals so be your show pieces get ride of the algae.

It was my nightmare too until I picked up a royal urchin recently.
I still have some of the feather variety but the wagons are circling.

I vote for removal as well.

If it's in your DT you probably should get it out unless you like the looks of it and wouldn't mind seeing a tank full in a few months. That is one of the most invasive caulerpa spp. I've ever had experience with.
