I am going to apology in adcance if I misunderstood you. There is no need for trial an error when the answer here is simple mathematics. Add the coral, check your numbers routinely, and dose to maintain numbers using precise quantities of calcium and alkalynity solutions. That goes for ever system.

It's very easy to figure out how many tablespoons of calcium and alkalynity a particular system uses from testing each twice in a short time period. Once it's determined, add that on a daily basis. Several ways of doing so, most notably, through short drip methods.
