    I think you can bleach or boil it. I've never done it before but there's a few threads on that matter here.

    As long as you kill anything and everything that was "alive" on that rock, it's nuked. After that you just need to scrub it clean and rinse it VERY well a few times.

    To be sure it back to base rock, leave it sitting in some saltwater for a few days with a powerhead and check you parameters. If ammonia is 0 you're good to go.

    I've never done it before so if I'm wrong, someone correct me. ;)
