What T5 lights would you pick? and why?

    I get what you are saying. Build the light myself and then (not plug and play retro) and then I can add as I go.

    If i tried to build this myself with 6 lamps (or maybe 7 would 2 ballast works). What more would I need to buy. What is a good WH ballats? Also could I run 1 IC 660 on the 3 (or 4) daylight bulbs and 1 WH on the acintic 3?

    A WH5 can run 1-2 4' lamps and a WH7 can run 3-4 4' lamps, you could do two WH7 for less than one IC ballast, and you will need more than one IC ballast as otherwise you will not have a dawn/dusk option.

    The IC/WH would work it would just be more costly, BUT you do get the added power and not the spectrum shift on the actinic lamps, then again you also have more wattage/$$
