What size sump/refuge do I need?

    Yeah? I just thought a plastic container might be too high. If I am to do a refuge, then it should be lower right? Is it okay for it to be that open in the sump? Won't there be a lot of water loss if it's completely open?

    Yeah, I think a 30 gallon would fit easily. My tank is longer and wider than tall. Not sure of the exact measurements any more. I know it's 6 ft long and about 2-3 feet wide. I heard longer and more shallow was better. So, I am hoping that's right. The only bad thing with my tank is it is not drilled. SO, I have to use a hang on overflow.
