what kind of algae do I have? Will it go away?

    I have has this happen in a new tank and dry rock, it was just a algae like gha from what I could tell. I've always had a cuc in my tank from he beginning before even adding fish. Snails and hermit crabs should clean it up no problem an they won't hurt to add to your tank

    its grown since i first posted and looks a little more like the traditional hair algae now. i am working on getting rid of it now. i didnt do toomuch with it yet because i also do believe it is a new tank thing and may slowly stabilize. either way i will probably run phosguard or something to try and control nutrients as originally i didnt detect phosphates, but i did a little in my last test
