What is this?

    My live rock is turning white and now has multicolor spots on it. I attached a picture, so maybe someone can shed some light.

    pH 8.0
    Ammonia 0
    Nitrite 0
    Nitrate 10 ppm
    Calcium 480
    Salinity 1.0215 but it's swing arm hydrometer so it's not accurate but general ball park

    When did you put this in the tank? White stuff looks like the die off i had on my rock when i set up the first time

    White is most likely coralline die off. I'd get that salinity up and try to get a refractometer for accuracy. Still though, I'd get it up to 1.024-25 on the hydrometer.
