What is this?

Here is a picture of it with polyp extension (I turned the blue on the kessil off):

Still looks like a type of BN to me. It's a nice piece but it has been kept in low flow as you can tell by the lower portion of the coral.

 

Yeah, we bought the entire piece (it was 8-9 inches in diameter) and it's base was getting too crowded so we fragged a lot of pieces off to improve the water flow through the base to try and stop the rest of the base from dying off.

They grow and heal quick thoug, so we are constantly pruning pieces off so it doesn't kill itself by growing more.

 

Make sure you keep a ton of flow on it. My BN is getting pounded by a koralia and it's growing like a weed.

 

I have it sitting on a fan and getting blasted by another. Going to be moving fans around again soon though, trying to optimize water movement for all corals.

It's a Orange Guttatus Birdsnest, sure looks like it to me.
