So I just put live creatures in my tank, only my clean up crew, some hermit crabs and 5 turbo shrimp. Well i went to watch some of the crabs crawling around I found this little thing. Is it something to be worried about?

Does every tank have them and is it something that i should be keeping? This tank is only 4 weeks old.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Yup.

Agreed a good part of your CUC. It can get to places and eat left over food and detritus that hermits and other inverts can not.

I think so, but others may feel differently (They got an unjustified bad reputation in the past). I have at least 4 in mine, probably more.

If you have 4 you have more ;) put a red balloon over a flashlight after lights out and look in your tank, ya prob have a ton more in there than ya know about.

get used to it, but thats why ya ask questions, learn and enjoy and ask away

yep, forever, for instance, I just learned how to build a great ATO for less than $30, and now you'll learn that if you hold your cursor over ATO, you'll learn what it stands for;)

Welcome and ask away, this forum rocks!
