Resolved What is this little monster?

Thanks! It took me a lot of tries to get a shot that was worthy of posting.
I know its hard to identify something from a blurry photo.

So I went ahead and chipped the snail off the rock. I was expecting more of a fight but it came right off with a small amount of pressure.

Now... I think I cracked the shell a bit at first but when it came off it dropped into the substrate and I lost it. Is it going to reattach somewhere else or is it dead once its removed from the rock?

 

It will most likely survive.

 

I agree - in the meanwhile I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
