Can anyone help me ID this creepy thing so I can learn more about it?
It looks to be about 3/8" or so in length, the face is less than 1/8" in diameter.
The body hasn't moved since I noticed it, but the face does. I think its attached to the rock. It seems to have a long string floating from it which I would describe to be like a spider web.

Anyways, this is my first post, thanks for the great site. I'll be hanging around here more.

Agreed, generally considered harmless (and even beneficial). When I had them in the past I pulled them after seeing someone’s tank that had a population explosion – apparently there are several different species of vermetid snails and some have the ability to multiply rapidly. I also dislike the mucus trail they leave – I recall reading that the mucus trail can negatively impact some corals.

Anyway, for me the biggest thing is the unsightly mucus trails so I won’t let any in my tank.

Well thanks everyone for the quick responses. I'll try and find out more about it later today but if I were to try and remove it what would be the best way?

I have a ton of these in my tank. To keep it under control, I put superglue gel over them, or break them off if possible.

Not a nudibranch. As stated by inwall it's a vermetid snail.
