Thank you Corailline for the timeframe.

One of the pieces is smaller than the other, without a formed mouth:

We are worried it may die. Is this normal? Will it recover?

    Thank you for the support!

Thanks to all for your patience. This is a fascinating process for us to witness, hoping others may enjoy it too...

One of them seems to be a bit shrunken this evening - hoping this is just the normal routine (it did this periodically in the past).

I have a pair of Quadricolors that came from a single that split 3 ways. they are polar opposites of each other. One is down low in my tank in a fairly high current area. maybe 150 PAR. deep red with alot of white paint splatters.its tips to not bubble and has long tentacles. The second is Way up high in a high light area with lower flow. maybe 400 par. it is more of a light salmon color white the white splatter and its tips are showing bubbles but still has long tentacles. Both are happy and my Darwin clowns have nothing to do with either.

Congrats on the split. neat process.

Thank you for the story! How long did it take for them to heal and find their new homes? Ours are staying close to each other for now.

Today each seems to be forming a mouth:

They both look healthy so far...
