sounds good to me. mine is a cave goby and he doesn't sift much through my tank but now he won't have much of a choice. left a spot with courser sand that I think he'll do ok with. Thanks for the input Todd.

    Tested my big three today-
I don't have any dosing pumps or controllers-
    No suprises on the results!

Today I plumbed in 2 14 inch filter socks after waiting 11 months to find the time.............. (Took me all of 20 minutes and 6 tins of wobbly pop). LoL
I can hear the fishes already saying how much nicer it is tonight in the tank,

A beer, or other alcoholic beverage :)

I believe it's made my plumbing better :)

I also cut my duruso overflows down by 2 inches to stop them spitting water at the wall and also quieten them down.

All in all, a very productive day :)

Meanwhile, today I finally replaced my Mag12 with my new Jebao DC-12000 return pump. Man what a difference! Even without being broken in, you can barely hear it running.

yea, it's a great pump for the money, mine is running for a few weeks already and i use it to power everything in the tank and still only 3 clicks on intensity.

It's adjustable via the little control box it comes with. Max is I believe around 3500 gph at 0 head height i believe. I will let Todd chime in on the head height and gph this pump puts out, I remember reading somewhere of him talking about it in one of his threads. It's a insane amount of water that it pushes regardless.
