I've noticed on a few occasions lately a cloud of something rise up in the water. Couldn't pinpoint it and figured it was a fish or something digging in the sand and releasing dust. The tank sits next to the TV set and tonight I spotted the culprit...... it was a small candy cane. I took a closer look and noticed a hollow tube where the cloud of whatever stuff came shooting out. Is it spawning or what?

It's not the coral, could be a worm of some sort living in there or even something like a stomatella spawning.

I had a coco worm that disappeared some time ago but I haven't seen it. Wonder if it could be hiding in one of the candy cane's tubes? Have never seen any stomatella in the tank.

I agree on some other animal spawning. The Coco worm is much too large to hide in the skeleton.
