    saw these at a lfs thought they wer col but i didnt wanna nuke my tank and i dont wanna kill anything if i can help it so i had them hold them for me. what are they? what do they eat? toxic? reef safe?

    Looks like a filter feeding Cucumber. I would'nt mess with it but that's just me. If it is a Cucumber I am sure if it died your tank inhabitant's would die too

    o no ...thanks for the lightning fast reply....any one else know what they are? my friend had a pink cuc. die and the tank was unaffected she just got it out the same day

    it is a stage in the decomposition that releases the toxin that kills the tank like some anemones. and it doesnt always wipe out the tank either. it is a hard thing to understand. maybe if he is mad when he died or carried alot of toxin for self defense then everything dies with him,,,...,,, if the tank is calm and he never feels threatened maybe he doesnt build toxin and dies and leaves everything else alone. strange deal with them

    They're nudibranchs or flat worms, the pics aren't clear enough to tell.

    they seem to big to be a nudibranch ....sry for the bad pics camera phone :/....as for flat worm idk either they seem to much like a slug or snail only clinging to the glass they almost certianly cannot swim

    I also thought Nudibranch or some kind of slug anyway. Perhaps Pagojoe will pop in and id it for you. Hes very good at things like that
