    $10 cash money (via paypal) for every picture of an algae species we do not currently have in the Nuisance Algae ID Guide, also we need a new picture of diatoms and will be paying for that as well, so if you have a new tank with a brown powdery mess all over the place congrats!!! Post a photo.

    If you want credit for the photo, please write it on the photo, I am the least organized guy you will meet with these things.

    I'm not sure what kinds of algae these are, but they where the more invasive ones that came on the LR.

    Here are 2 algaes I have never seen before. The first one acts like cyano but only grows on rocks and no bubbles like the ones on your site, plus not filamentous...maybe diatoms?

    Second is a hard "staining" on glass, grows in clumps and is yellow. Very hard to scrub off except with razor...Dont know if you can see it...

    My LFS has had it take a sump baffle which is all yellow and harder to clean off then coralline
