Urgent WATER level too high in overflow box..

    I think I do but when I pick the box up the water in the dump drops.. And makes air go in the pump

    yeah, you need to be able to control that pumps output.

    That would only control the water level in the DT- gravity works. IOW, it would still work properly, but the level would be lower in the tank. :)

    As already mentioned, it sounds like the overflow is not large enough for the pump. Plumbing a valve into the return line and trimming the flow should fix the issue.

    Either that or get a bigger overflow.. The lfs sold me everything together like a package deal... He said it was good enough for a 90 gallon and since I only have a 56 it gonna work great...

    Okay so the pump is a odessea 500... Still not sure about the overflow..

    What size u-tube and drain line do you have for the overflow? (1) 1" u-tube should have no problem keeping up with that pump, but my guess is yours is 3/4".

    Is the drain line going into a wet/dry trickle filter? Sometimes there is a restriction on the neck of those things. I had that problem once before.
