Water before sand in a new tank?

    I put my water in, then rock, and finally sand and just dumped the sand in and slowly spread it around as it cleared up. This is ok to do as the tank should be in a cycle during this time and its a way to make sure you take your time.

    Lined the bottom of my tank with egg crate then put in sand followed by live rock.
