Voting Thread for Zetlight Cup Contest

About 2.5 hours to watch them all the first time, then another 2 hours skimming through trying to decide which one to vote for.

 

I didn't think my video/tank was that bad... I've only got my own vote so far, lol. Video 24 (hint, hint)

Everyone has great videos! Win or lose these video contests are a lot of fun.

 

yeah my video only has my vote too. I'm thinking Matt Might have to do a tie breaker poll cause there are alot of vids with only 1 vote. lol

 

Unfortunately this is subject to interpretation. I have to take blame for this. When I put this contest together with ZETLIGHT, I thought the rules were simple. What I quickly found was 'include a tip for others' was way too vague.
I did reach out to some people and they got back to me and demonstrated that the tip was in general statements at such and such time, or done with text, etc.. This made me realize that I didn't nail down the rules to make them black and white. Therefore I left many in. A few did not stay in. I did my best and suggested how to vote based on execution of the spirit of the contest. Let the voting decide.

Good point on the voting numbers. I will send out an email reminder this week and make a graphic for the homepage and home stretch.

ps- as for the tied-voters at the bottom... I will put that to the mods and figure it out.

my reference was to the "must be a member for 30 days prior" the others would be splitting hairs and that is not in the spirit of our community. just one entrant joined 3 reefs 2 days prior to entering .....made his 10 posts and hasn't said a thing since. i think you made that rule to prevent people that were only interested in the contest and not the community here from participating....unless i got that wrong

i apologise ......it was part of the voting rules not the entry rules. i was mistaken.....

 

win, lose 1 vote or 200 to me its the fun of showing off a bit and taking the time to really show that you care about this hobby and the sight.

if it becomes to much work the mods and sight will quit having them. the rules seemed pretty clear to me, not to complicated and pretty straight forward.

and matt no rush I got time, just think its cool that you and the sight give away so much great stuff. we have great supporters and sponsers ;D

 

i agree 100% i think Matt has run an excellent contest here.....and i didn't enter expecting to win i was just thrilled that someone i don't know voted for my video and liked my tank ....as reefers i think we all love to see the awe on peoples faces as they enjoy what we love so much !! it's nice to get to share it with everyone
