I totally went through that too. It was really a decision based on that I don't want any wires in my tank and would prefer to keep the least amount of electrical components in my water. It was hard when I ordered it, but after I set it up, I was convinced I made the right move and am now looking to buy the 2nd one.

Have you looked at some of the youtube videos of large tanks with single mp40s? Those are what pushed me to buy the pump.

I just upgraded my 55 to a 75 so now I need to get a couple more powerheads fast. I don't think I can get the cash for them for a while because I just threw down $1000 on lighting and a new skimmer (wife would kill me if i spend another $800 + on a couple of powerheads) but in time I would like to remove my Koralias and replace it all with just 2 mp40s that would be awesome and they are so low profile it won't stick out like a sore thumb. I too would like to eliminate as much in-tank wiring as possible. I mean obviously i would have a heater and skimmer pump in the sump but I am sure (positive) that pretty soon we will be seeing those devices wireless as well via induction or magnetic resonance.

    Thank you! :)

MP40 would be the best choice - I use an MP10 on a 30 gallon and sometimes I think the MP20 would have been best.

    +1

The only thing I can say is that you get what you pay for with these pumps!

Thank you for popping that up there!
