i have a couple of these, i bought the 4900 to be the main pump on my reef but it was LOUD, so i put it in a salt vat i keep on my back deck, it does pump a boat load of water but it was just tooo loud. i have a smaller one that i was using to in my auto sumo fill to keep the stuff in there mixed up but man it put off a lot of heat, that 1 also stated that it was not suitable to use on a wave maker.

Thanks for the feedback da_colts! How would you rate them overall?

i actually rate them pretty high, they are made like tanks, very sturdy, great strong impellars. and very well priced. the loud 1 i have may just be that 1. the smaller 1 i have is almost silent. and they pump a LOT of water.

Thanks for the input I think I'll steer clear of these.
