Verrrrrrrrrrrrry Creepy but funny

red christmas lights? do tell!

 

I love checking out the nightlife. Completely different tank!!!

 

I just got a 10 light string of red lights.
Carefully took the hood I have apart and drilled 10 holes in the reflector.
While I was in there I rewired the two balasts so they each had their own power cord down to the two timers. I wired the Xmas tree lights to the switch on top of the hood and ran a third power cord for that.

I have to admit that they arent as red as I would like, they have an orange glow. One of my fish can see me when they come on but doesnt seem annoyed. I have also noticed that my stramatella varea can see me or at least knows the lights have come on. It was a hitchhiker but pretty cool to see a snale move that fast.

 

I'll take a couple of pictures tonight and post them in the morning. It is pretty cool looking at everything that comes out at night.
