Just got back from a trip overseas for 12 days. so to dodge the tank running dry with evaperation well I was gone I topped it right off with tap water ( I know I know ) my own fault right tap water full of silica and all.
But now I have a massive outbreak of bubble algee and I just dont know were to start.
OH and my misses said "I tried to get rid of a few by just popping them":clapping:.
HeHe how sweet and inocent did she sound, oh and to top it all off I decided to turn off my skimmer well I was gone so that it did'nt do one of its famous drop out of suction and run its self dry ( ITS A PRIZM ) say no more.

Please help me get some INSPERATION to fight this outbreak:confused:

some hermits and emerald crabs should gobble that stuff right up, my tank trys to grow some but the bubbles never get very big before they are eaten.

My emerald ate some of my valonia but couldn't keep up with it.
I like the kalk idea and auto-top-off idea.
    Get a better skimmer too!

Deal with the nutrients feeding the problem, check your tds, add a phosban reactor and/ or add cheato to your refuge section and change some of your water. Also you can try skimming wet for awhile.
