UV, good or bad?

    In order for the UV to be effective, I am under the impression that you need to change the bulb every 6 month, the water must pass through a prefilter and should also go through carbon for the clearest water possible entering the unit. UV rays only penetrate a certain depth and any clarity reduction reduces effectiveness of UV rays.

    Can you tell I run Ozone? Never ever had a problem.;D

    Different manufacturers have different recomendations for bulb replacments. I have seen some that say 6mo and some that say 18mo.

    Depends on which bulb is being used. Emperiors HO's are a two solid year use. With each, you'll need to scrape the sleeve clean every month.

    Is it possible to run both a uv and an ozone generator?

    Yup :D Many commercial systems employee both.
