Have you adjusted/decreased the amount of time that your lights are on since the upgrade so your livestock can acclimate to the increased amount of input? I just swapped out my newbie PC's w/ 10000 K's & 420 nm Actinic's and my BT anemone is pissed about it, she'll come around though.

Hey good job on the mod. Brings back nice memories for me. I read there was a delay.... LOL I thought I mentioned something about those cables. LOL.

Howd the fan work out for you??? you get it goin?

Id definitly get a quality bulb with those ballast. Phoenix 14k's for a beautiful blue color that wont break the bank.

Ive seen a huge difference with all my coral... Especially my sps. They are in heaven. Im sure you are seein a difference too.

on the photo period. Ive even dropped the length of the halides from 10 hours to 6 hours. Becareful especially with coral closer to the top. Ive added an hour each week until I was back up to 10 hours a day. Ive experienced no "coral burn"

I'm waiting for Brown Santa to show up as we speak.

My lights are close to the tank. I was going to move them up a bit. My halides are on for ~9 hours a day. I will definitely cut them back to help acclimate. I have a Monti cap frag that is new that is right under a light.

I'll have to see how blue the Phoenix turns out after burn in. I'm contemplating changing my actinics out for some regular 10Ks if it's too blue. I have some good before pics.

Dont worry about the blue. I initially was concerned because they were BLUE!!! but after burn in... the blue settled down and they are a nice white/blue color now.

Hu wow... did some one mention blue!

I will give them their time because many people share about the same experience.

It only took about 4 hours more that I wanted. I have some painting to get done and better get going to keep the Misses happy. I will post up later to add my .02

But it is done, and I can't thank Reef Sparky and Tatted enough. Late.
