    good work ReefSparky

thanks for the pictures , it might be a couple of weeks or so maybe for acclimatisation and then those corals are going to start showing signs of appreciation IMO

I'm very in tune with my tank, and can tell you I see signs already. My frogspawn is looking better. Also, I've read in more than one place that the color of halides often doesn't "come out" until at least 100 hours of burn time.

    I'll keep all posted.

I had the same result with mine. I think my ballasts were too much for them. They look very 20k-ish with regular odyssea ballasts. I'll be buying a quality 20k bulb for my nano.

Thanks, Casey. That's reassuring. In the back of my mind, I was toying with the idea of doubting my ballasts. Tangster says the Galaxy ballast are good quality. Tatted4ever, the guy who did this upgrade right before me, spoke very highly of them too.

I'll be getting SPS Blue Life 20K bulbs eventually. I've just got to get back to work. . .. . .:)

So how do you like those ballast so far? The Galaxy seem good. I thought about some singles, but then figured a dual would free up a spot on my AC Jr. There are limited choices with duals.

I like it. Again, without top notch bulbs, it's hard to tell. The ballast is cool to the touch, and I like that a lot. It frees up some room under my stand, where two ballast used to be.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger sooner than later. Where did you get your bulb ends from?

I saw those. Just the regular ones right, not the ones with the bracket?

    That's right.
