Nice update with the video. If you want, you could mix salt into the fresh water...the pumps/powerheads will mix it up. Just leave the skimmer off for now and adjust salt level accordingly.

It's tap water in there. I only use RO/DI water for my saltwater aquarium. I have to take my rock and water out of my 29g and put it in it, then add 40 new pounds of live sand and about 20 more pounds of live rock. Plus about 34 or 35 more gallons of fresh saltwater. Fun Fun

Ah, Got'cha. I thought it was RODi. If it was, you could mix in your salt, add your sand then scape. lol. Guess not.

If I had an ro/di system, then that would have been what I filled it with. I buy my water for .33 a gallon at my lfs. I'm going to let the system run over night to make sure everything is still good. Then I will drain it after I get off of work.

Hey link... nice build... I'm trying to make a stand also for my new 40b project!!

so..were you just very good at wood-chop or did you follow maybe some plans? I'm not sure as to go ahead and try the build myself or pay a bit more and have someone do it!

I appreaciate your help... thanks!! looking forward to seeing more of your tank:)
