Unresolved Update - new pic Need help with dwarf lion mouth issue

Well that is a short video. It is not normal for the mouth to be open like that so it looks like the beginning of lock jaw to me. It could also be a bacterial infection.

 

Just came back from a 6 day vaca and the growth in his mouth has grown alot, see picture below. Is there anything that can be done for this? I dont think he will make it to much longer as this growth is stopping him from eating. Can a fish survive surgery? I am by no means a surgeon but would trying to cut the growth off help in any way or likely just cause more stress and kill him quicker? I am just looking for anything I can do to try and help. Or is this a situation where all I can/should do is just sit back and wait. Any thoughts are appreciated.
