Just rent a little guy for a couple weeks... yeah I know I'm really against temporary fish, but for pest control I make an exception.

Perhaps, but there are many kinds of flatworms. I've seen at least 3 kinds in my tank. The variety I was concerned about were the red two pointy-butted kind. I discovered them about a year ago, freaked out and dosed with FWE (losing a couple of corals to it) and after it all they were still there. A year later and there are a few here and there but they have never been a problem.

From what I've read, the little ones that are the problem are the acoel version (triple tails). (and of course there are other kinds of troublesome fw's, such as acro eating)

    (pardon the super non-scientific terminology ;D )

Do you really only have one? Flatworms usually crash the party with friends. Any more pics like #2?

If its a flatworm, and you really only have one, you don't need an intervention. Ya, just squish the one! Problem solved. :) But there's usually more than one if it's a flatworm.

But squish it between your fingers anyway and see what it's made of.

    Squish it? That sounds weird..lol.

There may be more, but they certainly aren't obvious if that's the case. I know you will normally see a large number of flatworms at a time, which I have not noticed.
