Ugly Tank Contest 3

500w metal halide had tons of flow before took some out now parameters have been fine so far have tried any stonys in this tank yet am using instan ocean should prolly try that red sea salt huh? all new substrate

 

for reference, the gha is about three inches long in all places! and thick! ugh gotta love out dated lights haha.

 

You think this may have been triggered by the new lights? Should I let this run it's course or what? It's basically film algae and either GHA or Turf. I can't tell the difference.

well, i was asked by a freind to post a pic here - some friend huh!

here it is after some long hours at work and a couple kids, now we are trying to beat major cyno! And YES that stuff will grow in front of the stream of a korila 4 about 8" away.

Not to be a stickler, but isnt the first FTS on the list of entrants not an entry? DBOSHIBBY said the picture was taken a few months ago and not an entrant, but just a submission of an ugly tank. And a very ugly one at that . He was feeling in the spirit, or maybe just wanted to break the ice and get the ugliness flowin.

Also, I almost forgot to thank John for putting on such a great contest. If I don't win I'll definitely be ordering a custom fuzzy caulerpa CUC from reefcleaners.org. So, thanks John!
