agreed! besides, like I said I have some dirt on almost every 3reefer when it comes to algae. It happens, nothing to be ashamed of. I don't seen anything unhealthy in there, it just has algae is all.

chitons, blue legs, astrea tuber (the very large astrea species we call Turbograzers), and sea hares, especially sea hares, eat this stuff. Juvie blue legs I am not sure about...we tried it with adults and they devour fuzzy caulerpa

You would go straight to the algae and not notice the sock.

This just started about 3 weeks ago. Gave you a pic of the glass and what the rocks look like.

I believe I'm in the 3rd phase of the 3 phase algea process.

The white dots in the rock picture are the bubbles from the return on my Emporer 400. The rock that is in the picture sits right below it.

I probably have more biomass of algae than clarky. Does having every inch of rock and most of the back wall covered in coralline count? lol

The tank is about 8 months old. All of this started right after I purchased a used light fixture. Went from odyssea to ATI 6x54.

I have to assume the bulbs are past their prime as that is the only variable in a fairly constant tank.

that is normal then for a 6month-9month tank, the brighter lighting may have triggered it, but it isn't that odd. What color bulbs in the ATI? That is one sweet fixture...you are going to get good growth down the road.

2 more days to post that pic hasek... i have the updates coming soon...
