I wouldn't call it corraline. The purple stuff on your rock is, but not what is on your glass. ;)
As far as images go. you have to upload the image to your photo gallery.
Down below the image is the hypertext or link to that picture. If you highlight that link then paste it into your text. It will appear in your message.

What would you call it then?

And, if they're both purple (rock & glass) why is it not coraline?

    Just curious, tks.

ps: Thanks for the pic tips. :)

Started with some nice LR. Use Marc Weiss Reef Vital DNA 1 Capful per Day. Results are fantastic!:)

Here's an easy way to tell. Use a magnet cleaner (or a clean rag), and wipe the microalgaes from the glass. If the purple stuff comes off too, it was cyanobacteria. If it stays and can only be scraped off with your fingernail, it is coralline.

Very good answer. That is what I should have said :)
It looks like the stuff on your glass is easily wiped off. With Corraline you could wipe the algae cleaner over it many times with no results.

Every LR I put in, coroline algae grow on it within 2 days. That's how good purple-up are...or I am doing something else right (which idk what :)).
