Triplemom's 14 Biocube mantis tank! What???

    WHAT ON EARTH WAS I THINKING???? :wreck: How many moms get a mantis tank for their birthday???? My 29th birthday :p is in two weeks, which will be the one year anniversary of our 46. So, this all started when Stepho puts up a post about stomatopod.com getting some of the G. smithii mantis shrimp in....then Jwin gets involved. The next thing I know, I come home with a 14 gallon Biocube, stand, sand, heater, and order the mantis on-line. We're in the process of doing a "water change" from my 46 into the new tank and mixing up more saltwater. My office now has 3 tanks, plus the 10 gallon FW in the kitchen....

    HAPPY BDAY! LOL NICE! So you ordered the g. smithi?
    I think i am going to have to setup one of the 10's i have in the attic and get me a mantis now.

    Well her birthday isn't for another 2 weeks, but what the hey. I knew that smithii mantis sell like hot cakes. So I knew if we were gonna get one, it was now, or years from now when they had them again ::) So I saw stephos thread. And then my mom saw my post of me saying I'd pay double that price just for a smithii. And then, lo and behold there's a 14 Biocube sitting in Princess's spot, Princess is in the bar until we can relocate her. And Smithii number 004 on stomatopod.com will be ready ship over night Thursday night/friday morning. Life is good.

    So yes, this really is pretty much stepho's fault. :D

    I will gladly take the blame for this. If anyone wants to convince my mother she wants a G. smithii for her birthday by all means go ahead. That isn't til March but its never to early to buy your dear ol'mom a present is it?

    Also 29th birthday??? Isn't Jwin 18, so that would make you 11.... hrmm...
