    Hi Cheryl, thanks!

More flow means more PE, in your case if other factors were the same?

None of my acropora like to be directly in front of a PH but they like it a lot right off to the side.

When all other things are decent, flow and SG make the most difference I guess. On more than one occasion I have read that long PE might be a sign of decreased oxygen availability especially at night. I do not believe that is the case.

PE is about the same every day, if it's not something is amiss and it's usually a SG climb.

    I see... hmmm..

None of the acros in my tanks is sitting right in front of MP40s: this slimer is off to below.

    Thanks again, Cheryl.

Too much PE?, that's like too much cowbell, lol.

Although, I agree with jonjonwells, that doesn't look too much like a slimer to me, but I'm no expert.

LoL! I'm still new to the saltwater hobby (~4 months), but I'm not sure there's anyway to have much of the former and still have much of the latter left. ;D

Looks more similar to something like a Joe the Coral or Borealis in structure to me. It's encrusting more than growing upright, which would suggest that its not a slimer. Whatever the case, it looks healthy, and you're doing something right!

I agree with Jerry and jonjon about coral type, does not have the corallite structure like a Slimer.

My guesses would be Blue Voodoo, Joe the Coral, and Borealis... in that order. That is if it was an ORA piece... of which, you will never be 100% sure. Either way, pretty sure not a slimer.
