Unresolved Tomini tang - ich

My tomini tang has ich. I just got it about 10 days ago. It has probbaly had it about 4 days or so. I've just been monitoring it's activity.
Today its a little worse, activity level is def down...still active just not as much. I think that it ate although im not positive...

The first thing that happened was a cut on its side, i assumed from learning the new rock scape. Ifigure the stress from that caused the ich breakout...true or false?



It would be impossible to catch this fish to put it in a med tank.

Should i just keep doing what im doing or are there some options with the fish in the tank... keep in mind i cant/dont want to spend alot of money (uv sterilizers) although i guess i dont know how much they are.

FYI, none of my other fish have any signs of it.

 

Are you offering the tang a varied diet?

I know when my Blue Hippo got ick I started to vary the diet from brine and mysis to include some veggies and nori, as well as soaking everything in garlic and a vitamin supplement, the fish has shown no signs of the ick since I started doing that.

 

Yea it eats alot....i just meant today... i think he was eating pellets in the rock work he just didnt come out...

 

African cleaner warsser can't hurt either.....

 

When my Red Sea Sailfin had Ich after bringing it home. So I soaked the food in Garlic and fed little more heavy. Also every third day I soaked food in Selcon. It toke about 2 weeks to clear up. The Kole and Yellow never caught it.

 

Do i just dice up garlic reall small and soak it in that...and then add the food with the garlic in it?

Or do i have to buy some expensive garlic sup from the LFS? Haha...

 

What kind of veggies? I know broc, but what else?

 

I would not try to catch it.. IMO you ride it out. Soak the food in garlic and something like a Kent Marine Zoe. Do this and offer green. keep stress low. trying to catch it will stress it out worse.

 

Yea i def agree,....it wouldnt be possible anyways
