I know late to the party...lol but thought it may help someone else .

You could've done 2 panels but on one have trim in the center that covers the gap by extending slightly over the other panel.... then trimming the rest so it slightly overlaps the stand.
Good job with the reclaimed lumber.

And seriously nice tank.

** Edit- I fixed the double pic post in my last post- now the 'favia/war coral?' is the correct photo.

 

I rarely look at my DT at night with a flashlight- well, it was this morning, not much ambient light, and I had just replaced the batteries in one of our small 'emergency' flashlights.
I looked in the tank a bit with it, and
my RBTA has been split for about a week- one of them moving almost daily.
Well, this morning I see it 'inverted'!- I feel this is a natural thing for a nem, I'm not worried,
It'll 'pull it's head out' somethime today I bet.

You can see the 'inverted' nem just to the right of the nem and Oc. Clown.
