    I have a toadstool that did the same thing it was closed up slouching and the base was wrinkling up and turning brown for about 2 months. I did a iodine dip in lugols and it perked up in about 2 days but his base was still thin so I cut the base off and attached to new rock and hasn't closed back up in over 6-8 months hope this helps.

    Well its starting to help give me hope it may come out of this after all. I moved it away from the palys just in case. I should of thought of that earlier.
