    I cant speak for you Cworkman, but my ballasts where 2+ yrs already and the difference is night and day. The light is so bright, that I dont have to turn on my living room(LR) lights on, it brights up the whole LR. But I think its safe to say that you will notice the difference. Hook up only one and see if there is. Keep us posted. Luna

    It will be 10 yrs in Nov. One of my "nemo's" and two Flower Anemones that I have will be turning 10 yrs old in Nov. Luna

    I am considering a used odysea fixture and replaceing the ballast as you suggest. Outside of that, are you satisfied with Odysea fixtures?

    Overall, I am satisfied. I also have the Ice Cap ballasts and they really are a huge improvement over the stock (in addition to new bulbs.) Even with the upgrades, I spent less than I would have if I had gone with the equivalent in one of the more popular brand names.

    Mine is a real headache. I could put a pretty good dent in the price of a new one for what I'm going to spend fixing it up.
