    this algae is growing all over my return nozzle and my power head. i am drawing a blank as to what it is, other then hair algae. am i correctly in thinking so?

    ya looks to be. I would pull the pump and give it a good cleaning in vinigar

    Agree with the others, bryopsis or derbesia. Kent TechM will kill it, then siphon it off.

    If thats the only place its growing take out the quipment and scrub it down with a vinegar soak. back news stuff.

    no its a type of GSP mat i was allowing it to grow on the return cases. but later changed my mind, but it still grows. i attached a pic of the rock it took over

    yea just those two place. i am going to take it out and let it soak in vinegar till i get home, then clean it and back to business :)
