So I picked up a chunk of this red dragon breath algae. This stuff grows faster then the Kenya coral. And it just loves flow! the fact that it is so kool lookin helps. Supposedly it is one the best types at filtering the h2o.

I dont know what official name is. At the LFS we call it the red dragon breath algar stuff... but I am pretty sure dragon and breath are in the name.
as for getting it into the powerhead...alot of time. As you can see the algae has different arms, i just took weaved two arms through two different hole in the gaurd of the PH. with the base on the impeller side of the gaurd.
just a note...it hard to get algae through holes in the gaurd, alot harder then you would think:confused:

Do you think particles of it will blow off and dominate your aquarium?

Dragons Breath is the correct common name, Halymenia is the easier way to ID it ( its genus I believe). Very cool looking, interesting shape and color.
