Think of getting a clam any tips?

    Nice links! Speaking of which how would you aclimate the clam? For corals I float dip and drop. With inverts and fish I expedite the drip method, about a half cup of tank water added every few minutes.

    I put mine in a small container and switch out about 10 % of the water every 20 minutes.

    Clams do not like to be dipped. The only time I have ever dipped a clam was for Pinched Mantel Disease, really the only treatment for it is a freshwater dip.

    Oh no, i would ever dip a non coral lol. Ok i was going to drip acclimate wil a knoted piece of airline tubing

    Sounds good. I think getting the water temperature up and pH is probably the most important thing. I have never done a long acclimation on a clam and I have been keeping them since 1996. Most common problems for me have been pyramid snails and PMD. If I had a larger tank I would have several but they soak up the ca like a sponge as they get larger and in my tiny tank that just was not working out.
