well im almost 100% thats stress. im like 95%. One of my many mistakes during my fish keeping experience was to keep one regal tang in a 29 gallon. it got those white patches all around him almost 3 days later. ( i returned him to the LFS on the 5th day)... ( found 3reef.com)

If it was ich it would be small dots; since they are lines I think it's something else. It could be scratches, but I don't know if they would have that many. I agree it might be stress due to the new environment. As long as they seem healthy, I would just keep feeding them and keep up the water quality.

and yes they are pretty hardy. (or at least the one have is lol) its a good addition to have though. They are pretty funny to watch. If you see my Profile pic, you can see that you can actually play with him. with caution. that is.

hmm stress would make sense since their still new. Their the only fish right now in a 46 gallon tank, so theres no other animals that would stress them out, unless i have some hitchhiker that i don't know about. My parameters aren't perfect like i've mentioned so i bout some stress-zyme, so i'll use that tomorrow. But they should be able to handel these parameters because their not horribly off. But if stress is all it is, then i think i feel a bit relieved that it should go away overtime
