I don't know about that, but it will adjust the speed on the pump motor to get a slow flow, if it's to much for your tank.

Placed an order yesterday for (2) WP-40s for my 125 build. I am thinking this, plus the ~1000 GPH from my returns should be enough flow. Can anyone confirm this?

Marshall, I think you will have more than enough. I just put 1 on my 125 and 2 k3s and it's perfect. So I think your golden.

My WP40 arrived FedExl, via a GB from a Dallas TX area reef forum!

They packed the box in a slightly lager one with little styrofaom peanuts.

I dunked it a 25% vinegar/ 75% tap water bath. rinsed it once in RO, then in it went.

My instructions were in English, and easy to read, not bad.
I played with the modes some.
It's quiet, has a slight Whirring sound- the pitch of witch higher with the speed.
I currently have it on the ELSE mode, with the dial about 50% position, or 12oclock.
My understadning (and getting close and listening to the whir), is that this is a random mode.

Question: On the left side of the controller, are two little holes for the sensor to plug in to? 'Cause mine are empty, and I looked in all the packeging, etc.- NO sensor to plug in to it cam with it.
? Is that where the sendor goes?

Anyways, after about 20 minutes, my fish came back out to see what was going on- they seem to like the new, stronger, random flow!
I had good PE from my sps, I"m hoping now it will even be better.

I posted here- cause I thought this was the mother thead, as opposed to starting my own

My 2 koralio Evo's crapped out on my in the last 2 weeks- about a week apart.
this came at a good time.

Yes Todd, the 2 pins are where the sensor goes. It should have been in the box.

I like the else mode and my dial too is at 50%. Don't really know how the dial works in else mode but everything seems to like it there.

That's awesome that you got it. Have fun. I think this pump is rad.

    Pming you about the sensor.

I also don't feel I need to 'throttle it down' with a universal laptop dc power source.

I'm still running my 2 MaxiJets with the PowerFan Mod on them- they also move alot of water. Rated at 1200 and 1400 gph each. Then the nearly 500 thru my return, then the wp40, which is not going full all the time, rated at 13000L/hr.

My Reef is getting used to it now on ELSE mode, dial at 50%.
