    I actually think that is why my first siphon (the W design) failed. It took too much water weight to push those bubbles that far underwater and the siphon was not ever able to keep up.

    If it's the sound you're worried about in the sump, I'm using a 'reverse durso' style tube with a cap and a vent- works well.
    When I take the cap off the tube, it gets much louder

    YOu can see a picture of it in post #43
    It has a filter sock on it, and the pipe coming down from my overflow to the sump.
    It's beside my sc150 skimmer- best skimmer for the $ by far

    Fixed my bubble issue and I'll try to get pics of what I did posted up soon.
